ABSTRACT: Investigating the effects of early childhood education on disaster recovery aims to examine how education can facilitate community resilience and recovery following natural disasters. This study explores how early childhood education programs impact disaster recovery efforts. The objectives are to (1) assess improvements in children's emotional resilience and coping mechanisms post-disaster, (2) evaluate the integration of disaster recovery activities in early childhood education curricula, and (3) examine changes in community support systems and recovery outcomes. A survey design is justified as it facilitates comprehensive data collection on educational impacts on disaster recovery. A purposive sample of 110 children aged 4-6 years, from disaster-prone communities in Adamawa State, ensures relevant experiences. The case study focuses on an early childhood education center known for its disaster preparedness and recovery initiatives. Findings revealed significant improvements in children's emotional resilience and coping mechanisms post-disaster, effectiveness of disaster recovery activities, and positive changes in community support systems. Recommendations include integrating disaster recovery education into early childhood curricula and collaborating with disaster management agencies and mental health professionals to enhance community resilience and recovery strategies.
